Hachette has joined TikTok Shop. The group will offer "a specially curated selection" of some of the titles have been most popular with the online community, among them Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola (Headline), named Book of the Year at the August TikTok Book Awards, as well as titles by Alex Michaelides, Alice Oseman and Beth O'Leary.
Online retailer Books2Door, which launched on TikTok Shop earlier this year, partly attributes a 15% increase in sales of its YA and fiction titles to its presence on the platform. Its offers include a limited edition BookTok Box, containing a selection of titles at discounted prices.
The #BookTok hashtag at TikTok has grown more than 160% in the past year.
