DC Entertainment is releasing a new paperback edition of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ epic superhero graphic novel, Watchmen, with a new front cover design with no type. Named one of Time magazine’s Top 100 novels of all time, Watchmen is also one of the bestselling graphic novels of all time with more than a million copies in print.
Despite the lack of any type on the cover (though the book sports the classic bold Watchmen logo on the spine), DC publicist Pam Horvath said, “We expect the book’s cover image is so powerful and recognizable that people will know exactly what it is.”
The new Watchmen paperback edition goes on sale May 7 in comic book shops and May 13 at general book stores.
