9/23: Charles Burns and Michael Cho Signing in Cambridge, MA

Cartoonists Charles Burns and Michael Cho will be signing copies of their new books on Tuesday, September 23 from 4–6pm at The Million Year Picnic in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Burns will be singing copies of Sugar Skull (Pantheon), the final part of his heady trilogy which also includes X'ed Out and The Hive. Cho wll be signing copies of Shoplifter (Pantheon), his debut graphic novel. This event is free. The Million Year Picnic is located at 99 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge, MA 02138.

9/25: 'From Here to Here' Exhibition Opening in New York, NY

To mark the release of a new, full-color reissue of Richard McGuire's Here (Pantheon), 'From Here to Here: Richard McGuire Makes a Book,' an exhibition that explores the work, will open at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York, New York. Originally released in 1989, Here looks at one specific spot and cycles through all the events that have (and will have) taken place there through history. The exhibition, which runs thought November 9, contains originals sketches, collages, reference photographs, and other influences. This event is free. 9/26: Lucy Knisely Signing in Chicago, IL

Cartoonist Lucy Knisley will be appearing and signing copies of her new book An Age of License: A Travelogue (Fantagraphics) on Friday, September 26 at 7pm at Challengers Comics+Conversation in Chicago, Illinois. An Age of License recounts Knisley's recent book tour through Europe and the many excursions (exploratory, romantic, culinary, etc.) she embarked on. This event is free. 9/27–9/28: Long Beach Comic Con in Long Beach, CA

Long Beach Comic Con is taking place on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. LBCC boasts top talent and loads stuff to do for comic book and pop culture fans (programming TBA). Guests include Len Wein, Kyle Baker, Marc Andreyko, David Baron, Liz Climo, Cecil Castellucci, Bernard Chang, Tim Bradstreet, Gerry Conway, Amanda Conner, Dave Johnson, J.T. Krull, Mike Mignola, Dustin Nguyen, Barbara Randall Kesel, Richard Starkings, and Marv Wolfman. Saturday tickets are $30, Sunday are $20, and weekend passes are $45.
