New York Super Week, a new series of comic book and pop culture events in New York, begins on October 3 and run to October 12, leading up to New York Comic Con. For fans of science fiction like The Walking Dead, the Lunar Chronicles, Dark-Hunter, and Dune, join celebrated narrators for two performances and behind-the-scenes Q&As on the making of audiobooks. The show, run by Comic-Con International, eschews large publishers and instead showcases small presses and independent creators, offering a more intimate convention experience. Programming includes panels and workshops such as "Graphic Humor 101," "Women Write Epic Characters," "Inking for Reluctant Inkers," and the APE 2014 Queer Cartoonists Panel, the Comic Creator Connection, creator spotlights, and more.
