The 2014 Alternative Press Expo (APE) is taking place on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion in San Francisco, California. The show, run by Comic-Con International, eschews large publishers and instead showcases small presses and independent creators, offering a more intimate convention experience. Programming includes panels and workshops such as "Graphic Humor 101," "Women Write Epic Characters," "Inking for Reluctant Inkers," and the APE 2014 Queer Cartoonists Panel, the Comic Creator Connection, creator spotlights, and more.
