Organized by Brooklyn independent comics bookstore Desert Island, Comic Arts Brooklyn, aka CAB, held its annual festival of indie and self-published comics at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Nov. 8-9. This year the show was split into an exhibition and selling day, Nov. 8 at Mr. Carmel, and a separate day of programming featuring panels and discussions held at the Wythe Hotel near the the Williamsburg waterfront on Sunday, Nov. 9. The show featured a host of debut works, including new books by Marguerite Van Cook and James Romberger (The Late Child and Other Animals), Michael Deforge (Lose) and Richard McGuire (Here). PW Comics World was on hand to bring back news and photographs of the weekend event.
