FairSquare Comics, which marked its fifth anniversary on June 20, is rebranding as FairSquare Graphics. The company will retain the FairSquare Comics name for conventions and crowdfunding, per a release, while future titles will be released under the new name.

"Changing our name is a natural evolution as we expand to new territories," said Fabrice Sapolsky, FairSquare publisher and editor-in-chief, in a statement. "We learned a lot in our first five years and felt the need to diversify, bringing underrepresented voices to new markets."

Along with the name change, FairSquare Graphics has launched Horny Dolphin, a new imprint dedicated to "NSFW" (not safe for work) original and licensed titles focusing on immigrant and minority voices, the publisher said. The first series from the new imprint, Eat My Cape, written and illustrated by Flippers, will debut this fall on Kickstarter.

Also on the docket are several new titles in the manfra (French manga-style comics) and manhua (Chinese comics) spaces, with Spanish manga-style comics titles joining in 2025. Titles for fall include Butterfly Tears by Fang Yili and The Three Musketeers by Tchao Nejib, with Red Flower by Loui-i slated for 2025.

The publisher has also announced that its title Lady-Bird, written by Sapolsky and Dawn J. Starr and illustrated by Daniele Sapuppo, is being adapted as a television series in Europe. FairSquare Graphics has released over 40 titles since its founding in 2019 by Fabrice Sapolsky, Kristal Adams, and Ethan Sapolsky. Its books are distributed through Diamond Comics Distributors.
