In 2015, the Frankfurt Book Fair will stage the World Cookbook Fair, which promises to, according to the Frankfurt Book Fair, "bring the very best publishers and authors of the culinary sector." The World Cookbook Fair will be housed in the Gourmet Gallery, and will include, in addition to presentations an exhibitions, a show kitchen. The Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 will be held from October 14 to 18.
“This cooperation fits perfectly into the Frankfurt Book Fair’s strategy to empower relevant publishing communities and help our customers to expand their international business network," said Juergen Boos, director of the Frankfurt Book Fair. "It also shows the enormous potential that the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 will offer its clients."
Edouard Cointreau is v-p of the World Cookbook Fair; his father, also named Edouard Cointreau, is chairman of Gourmand International and the president of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. “My father started the World Cookbook Awards 20 years ago in Frankfurt," Cointreau said. "This is where I learned all about publishing, never missing a fair for 10 years. We want everyone in our sector to share the unique opportunities offered by the Frankfurt Book Fair and we will do everything we can to help visitors and exhibitors have the best experience possible there." Cointreau added that in 2015, the World Cookbook Fair will focus its energies "entirely" on the Frankfurt Book Fair in October, and will have no other cookbook fair in Europe that year.
