In an "infographic" sent out Monday afternoon, Sourcebooks says total revenue in 2013 increased 22%. Sales of e-book increased 8% and rose 7% to bookstores.
During the year, Sourcebooks bought the publisher Simple Truths and launched its Put Me in the Story e-book line. In the fourth quarter, Sourcebooks reports that the Put Me in the Story Web site had more than 2 million page views.
Among its top selling titles in the year were Santa in Texas, which sold over 350,000 copies and The Dog Lived, which sold more than 85,000 copies. Overall, Sourcebooks' calendar and children's line had the biggest gains in the year with sales up 63% in each category.
