TAN Books, the religious book publisher that is a division of Saint Benedict Press, has acquired Neumann Press, a Minnesota publisher of Catholic titles for children and adults. The acquisition more than triples TAN's children's titles and provides it with a homeschooling line.
Established in 1981, Neumann Press published more than 200 titles under the leadership of Dennis McCoy. When McCoy died on April 22, 2013, the press closed. With the purchase, TAN will keep the Neumann Press name as an imprint and maintain the Neumann Press Web site. In addition, Neumann Press titles will be added to TAN's own direct mail catalogs and consumer site. TAN plans to reissue 22 Neumann Press titles before Christmas and over 70 titles before the end of the year, most in their original hardcover bindings.
TAN is lowering Neumann Press retail prices across the board and extending TAN resellers their normal terms.
