Following an out-of-court settlement with Fore Word Magazine, Foreword Literary, the literary agency formed in March 2013, has changed its name to Fuse Literary. According to founding partner Laurie McLean, while her and her partners disagreed with Fore Word’s contention that industry members would confuse the two organizations, they decided to settle rather than risk a lengthy court battle.
The name change will have no impact on Fuse’s ongoing operations and it will continue with offices in New York, Chicago, San Diego, and Vancouver. Fuse has a client list of 76 authors with more than 160 titles in print.
