Kampmann & Company has acquired Spencer Hill Press. Located in New Hampshire, Spencer Hill was founded in 2010 as a publisher of fiction for young adults. Since its founding, is has added titles in the adult, new adult and middle grade fiction categories.
With the purchase, founder Kate Kaynak will step down as managing editor bur remain an editor, while Jessica Porteous has been promoted from editor to managing editor.
Spencer Hill has a backlist of 117 titles and plans to publish 36 books in 2015. Its bestselling author to date has been Jennifer Armentrout and a new series from Armentrout is scheduled for release later this year. Spencer Hill joins Beaufort Books as a Kampmann imprint and its books will be distributed by Kampmann’s distribution arm, Midpoint Trade.
