ICM Partners announced that it has entered into a succession plan with the Helen Brann Agency, a literary agency owned and founded by Helen Brann.
Brann, longtime agent to the late Robert B. Parker, launched her eponymous firm in 1973. She met ICM's Esther Newberg when, as executor of the Parker Estate, Brann worked with ICM client Ace Atkins, who took over Parker's Spenser novels, to continue writing the series.
"Although at 82, I have no plans to retire from this job I love, I thought it important to put a plan in place to ensure the future success of my clients, and Esther and her team at ICM became the apparent choice to work alongside me in this process," said Brann. "I’m proud to work with them to represent my clients."
Upcoming titles represented by the agency include the untitled biography of “Kick” Kennedy by Barbara Leaming, Ingrid Thoft’s latest Fina Ludlow novel, Brutality, Atkins’ new Spenser novel, and Reed Farrel Coleman’s new Jesse Stone title.
“Helen is smart, has great agenting skills and is a pro,” said Newberg. “I am a fan of her clients’ work, and everyone on our team is excited to work with Helen.”
