Running Press and HBO have inked an agreement to create multiple books, as well as mini kits, inspired by the cable channel's series, Game of Thrones.
The publishing program, launching in April 2015, will feature a small gift book, In Memoriam, and two mini kits--Game of Thrones: Stark Direwolf Kit and Game of Thrones: Hand of the King Wax Seal Kit.
"We're passionate fans of the Game of Thrones series on HBO here at Running Press," said Margaret Milnes, senior director of brand management. "It's exciting to set our creativity and spirit of innovation loose on this inspiring series."
The Game of Thrones line joins Running Press's other licensed kits and books from franchises such as Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad.
"Running Press has a great track record for delivering innovation, creativity and quality in all of their releases," said Jeff Peters, director of global licensing at HBO. "It’s a great match for the Game of Thrones brand, and we’re very excited about working with them.”
