Jennifer Bergstrom has been tapped to head Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books imprint. Bergstrom, whose new title is v-p and publisher, is being promoted from her current position as editor-in-chief of the imprint. She will be reporting to president and publisher of the Gallery Publishing Group, Louise Burke.
Bergstrom's appointment comes after a reorganization of the adult imprints at S&S, which took place in October. A rep at Gallery told PW that Bergstrom's appointment "is a natural next step" after the reorg, and that she is not formally replacing anyone.
Bergstrom has been at S&S for 15 years and, before joining Gallery, was publisher of Simon Spotlight Entertainment, which released the megahit He's Just Not That Into You.
Gallery was created in 2010 and has published books by, among others, Tori Spelling, Tucker Max, Oliver Stone and Chelsea Handler.
