Sam Tanenhaus is leaving his post as editor of the New York Times Book Review. As Romenesko.com reported, Tanenhaus, who is stepping down after nine years in the role to become a writer-at-large, is being replaced by Pamela Paul. Paul was the children's book editor at the paper.
A memo from the Times stated: "[Paul's] versatility as an editor and writer has strengthened the Book Review and many other sections, including the Magazine, Education Life and Sunday Styles, where she originated the biweekly 'Studied' column."
