Jennifer Enderlin has been promoted to senior v-p and publisher of St. Martin's Griffin and St. Martin's Paperbacks. Enderlin, whose appointment is effective immediately, will continue to edit and acquire titles for SMP. In her new role, she is taking over the paperback publishing duties of Matthew Shear who died late last month.
Enderlin has been at SMP for 20 years and edits a number of the division's big bestselling authors, including Lisa Scottoline, Augusten Burroughs and Mary Kay Andrews. Speaking to the promotion, SMP publisher Sally Richardson said that Enderlin "has proven herself an astute acquirer of talent" and "has a keen understanding of the market and the realities of its timing and competition."
