Penguin Random House India revealed a new cross-company organizational structure, as well as publishing, sales and marketing leadership appointments. The changes, which go into effect April 1, follow the announcement in October that PRH took complete ownership of Penguin India.

Chiki Sarkar, currently publisher at Penguin Books India, has been appointed publisher, PRH India, with overall responsibility for building the local publishing program in both English and local languages. She will report to PRH India CEO Gaurav Shrinagesh.

Milee Ashwarya and Meru Gokhale have both been appointed to the role of publishing director, PRH India, reporting to Sarkar.

Hemali Sodhi will be taking on the newly created role of director, children’s for PRH India. She was previously v-p, marketing and communications, Penguin Books India.

Caroline Newbury, currently v-p, marketing and publicity RH India, will take on the role of v-p, marketing and corporate communications for PRH India.

On the sales side, Ananth Padmanabhan has been appointed senior v-p, sales with overall responsibility for sales across all distribution channels of PRH in India. He will report to Shrinagesh.

Nand Nath Jha has been appointed v-p, international product and digital sales, reporting to Padmanabhan. Manoj Satti will take on the role of general manager, international product (Random House) and sales planning.

Rahul Dixit, currently general manager, Penguin Books India, will now be general manager, local publishing and sales, PRH India.
