Paul Whitlatch will be joining Hachette Books, the HBG imprint formed around the former Hyperion titles, as senior editor. Whitlatch has been at Scribner where his recent projects included Enough, by former U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly; Consumed, the debut novel by film director David Cronenberg; and MIT scientist David Rose’s Enchanted Objects. He starts July 21 and will report to Mauro DiPreta, Hachette Books publisher.
Becky Green has been promoted to v-p, director, children’s retail sales, Random House Children’s Books. She was previously the division's v-p. national accounts.
David Corey, director of marketing and sales at the University Press of New England, is moving to Jessica Kingsley Publishing as v-p of marketing and sales. In that role, he will be in charge of the U.K.-based publisher's U.S. office in Philadelphia.
