Cambridge University Press has appointed Mandy Hill as the new managing director of academic publishing, taking over for Richard Fisher, who will be leaving in December after 30 years at the Press. She will step into the new post in September. For the past four years, Hill has served as publishing director of the Global Academic Publishing Group at Oxford University Press.
Jerry Bilek has been named sales manager at The Minnesota Historical Society Press in St. Paul, effective August 1, 2014. Bilek currently is the owner of Monkey See, Monkey Read, an independent bookstore in Northfield, Minnesota. He opened the store in 2006 and is currently looking for a buyer for the store.
