Lou Johnson, who has been managing director of Simon & Schuster Australia since 2010, has resigned from the post. Ian Chapman, chief executive and publisher, Simon & Schuster U.K. and International, made the announcement in a memo to employees.
In his memo, Chapman noted that “Simon & Schuster Australia remains a key component of our global publishing efforts,” and that he will soon begin an “active search” for her successor. Johnson will remain at S&S “for a little while,” Chapman wrote, helping to assure a “smooth transition to new leadership.”
