Columbia University Press has appointed Eric Schwartz as editorial director. He replaces Jennifer Crewe, who was promoted to president and director of the Press in June. Schwartz was previously senior editor for sociology and cognitive science at Princeton University Press.
“I am delighted that Eric will join the Press to lead our already strong editorial team to even greater heights and augment our lists in two areas of strength at the university," said Crewe.
Before moving to Princeton, Schwartz was psychology editor at Cambridge University Press. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the New School for Social Research.
