Daphne Durham, publisher of adult trade and children's at Amazon Publishing, will be leaving the company on January 16. She will be succeeded by Mikyla Bruder, current head of global marketing for Amazon Publishing, who will assume publisher responsibilities for Montlake Romance, Thomas & Mercer, Skyscape, Lake Union, 47North and Jet City Comics. Bruder is based in Seattle.
Durham took over at Amazon Publishing in 2013, succeeding Larry Kirshbaum. She joined the trade imprint in 2011; prior to that, she had been at Amazon for more than 15 years. Among other things, Durham led the Books Editorial Team, where she launched curatorial programs, such as Amazon's Best Books of the Year.
In addition, David Blum has been named publisher and editor in chief of Amazon's Little A and Two Lions imprints. Based out of New York City, Blum will also continue in his role as editor of Kindle Singles. He reports to Jeff Belle as does Bruder. Little A was previously overseen by editor Ed Park, who left Amazon for the Penguin Press in November.
