Perseus Books Group has appointed Kristin Kiser as v-p, president, and publisher at Running Press, effective May 20. Kiser succeeds Chris Navratil, who left that post in October as part of a Perseus reorganization. Allison Devlin, who stepped in as acting publisher after Navratil's departure, is moving to Time Inc. Books as associate publisher.
Most recently, Kiser was v-p and deputy publisher at Rodale, where she led campaigns for bestsellers like Thug Kitchen and The Bulletproof Diet. Prior to that, she was v-p and associate publisher at Hyperion.
In her new position, Kiser will oversee adult trade, kids, and Miniature Editions. Kiser will report to Perseus Books Group senior v-p and group publisher Susan Weinberg.
“Kristin Kiser is one of the most talented and dynamic publishing executives working today,” said Weinberg. “She has a depth of expertise and a gift for finding and making bestsellers of quality, and we are thrilled to have her join Running Press.”
