Milena Alberti has been appointed chief financial officer at Penguin Random House, effective July 1. Alberti, who most recently held the post of head of global corporate finance, succeeds Coram Williams, who will become CFO of Pearson later this summer.
"Milena’s thoughtful analysis, strong communication skills, and deep understanding of the business have made her a trusted advisor to me and to many colleagues around the world," said PRH CRO Markus Dohle. "She was involved in the merger and formation of Penguin Random House from the very first day, and was one of the architects of last year's acquisition of the trade-publishing assets of Santillana Ediciones Generales, which greatly expanded our Spanish-language publishing footprint and established us as the market leader in Latin America."
In addition, James Johnston has been promoted to the newly created position of senior v-p, deputy chief financial officer, PRH, reporting to Alberti. He was most recently senior v-p, worldwide and U.S. financial reporting, planning and accounting.
