Random House has unveiled an aggressive publication schedule for one of its brand name authors. Dubbing 2016 “the year of Danielle Steel,” the publisher said it is planning to release six new original novels and six mass market paperback reprints by Steel in the calendar year.
The publisher said the accelerated schedule—it has been releasing four original Steel titles a year—is in response to demand. RH said Steel’s fans are asking for more books by the bestselling writer.
RH will begin the program on January 19 with the release of the mass market paperback, Prodigal Son, as well as the hardcover, Blue.
Steel, who has published 95 novels has, according to RH, sold over 650 million copies of her work.
