Random House announced the appointment of Ben Greenberg to v-p and executive editor for the Random House imprint, effective January 11. He will acquire and edit nonfiction, reporting to RH editor-in-chief Andy Ward.

Greenberg joins RH after 12 years at Grand Central Publishing where he currently serves as executive editor.

Over the course of his career Greenberg has acquired and edited titles such as This Is A Book by Demetri Martin; Mo' Meta Blues by Questlove; Thank You Notes by Jimmy Fallon; and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. Other authors Greenberg has worked with include Charlie Kaufman, Quentin Tarantino, Jennifer Steinhauer, Flea, Emily Flake, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Speaking to the hire, Ward said that Greenberg will be "crucial in our effort to expand and build our list, pushing us into new, exciting territory."
