Brenda Marsh has been named managing director of Abrams & Chronicle Books, the London-based distribution venture of Abrams and Chronicle.

After executive roles at Barnes & Noble and HarperCollins, Marsh joined Abrams in 2014 as v-p and director of business development. At Abrams she oversaw the recently launched Noterie gift line, the calendar program, and digital sales.

Both Michael Jacobs, CEO of Abrams, and Jack Jensen, president of Chronicle Books, said Marsh is the right person to expand A&CB’s business. Formed in 2010, A&CB distributes the books of Abrams and Chronicle, as well as titles from other illustrated publishers throughout the U.K. and other international markets.

In her new role, which starts June 27, Marsh will oversee a team of 18 sales and marketing professionals, as well as an extensive sales team covering the U.K. and export markets.
