MennoMedia, the publishing arm of Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada, has tapped Amy Gingerich to be the executive director and publisher of MennoMedia and its imprint, Herald Press. She will start both jobs in early 2018.
Gingerich will replace executive director Russ Eanes who announced his resignation in August. In her new role, Gingerich will be tasked with meeting the changing demands of the church and the changing environment in publishing. She previously served as editor at Herald Press and as editorial director at MennoMedia and has worked on titles such as the Mennonite Girls Can Cook series and Very Married: Field Notes on Love and Fidelity, as well as church and Sunday school curricula, hymnals, and periodicals.
“I am honored to be asked to lead MennoMedia into the future," Gingerich said in a statement. "This is a challenging time for publishers but an equally exciting time as we hone our messages and create fresh content."
