In light of the recent reorganization of Crown that Penguin Random House unveiled late last year, the company has made some changes and promotions in the unit.
Hogarth, launched as a U.S.-U.K. imprint at Crown in 2011, is under new leadership. Molly Stern, who had been overseeing the imprint, left PRH in the reorg. In her wake, Alexis Washam has been named editorial director of Hogarth, effective immediately. Parisa Ebrahimi has been promoted to senior editor, reporting to Washam. Killian Buckley has also been named assistant editor at the imprint.
Elsewhere at Crown, some staffers are on the move. Julian Pavia who, while at Crown, discovered Andy Weir (author of bestseller-turned-hit-film The Martian), has been named executive editor at Ballantine Bantam Dell (BBD). Hilary Teeman is also moving from Crown to BBD as executive editor. And Angeline Rodriguez has been named editorial assistant at BBD.
Speaking to the changes in a letter to PRH staff, Jennifer Hershey, senior v-p, editor-in-chief and associate publisher of BBD, said that all Hogarth titles will "continue to be supported this year by their current publishing teams." Likewise, for the editors leaving Crown and joining BBD, she said that those titles will also stay with those currently working on them.
