Pat Connolly, who took over as president and CEO of Follett Corp. in January 2018, retired from the company last week. Follett chairman Todd Litzsinger has been named acting president and CEO.
Litzsinger will continue as Follett chairman and will take on oversight for its three core businesses: the Follett School Solutions K-12 business; the Follett Higher Education campus retail business; and Baker & Taylor, the company’s public library business.
All of Follett’s interests face challenges caused by the spread of the coronavirus, which has led to the closing of most elementary and high schools, many public libraries, and many colleges. Follett operates about 1,200 college stores.
In a statement from Follett, Litzsinger said: “On behalf of the Board, our leadership team and the entire Follett organization, my deepest thanks to Pat for his commitment, vision, and stewardship of the company.”
