Random House Publishing Group president Sanyu Dillon has announced a new, expanded leadership team for the division's Harmony and Rodale publishing imprints.
In a note to staff, Dillon explained that the promotions will help RHPG capitalize on the "growing trend among readers toward books focused on well-being, personal health, mindfulness, nutrition, longevity, and inspiration." She added, "This team is specifically designed to increase our market and consumer-oriented focus, enabling us to better serve our authors and readers and increase our presence in this category."
This is the Dillon's first major change to leadership since she took over as the head of RHPG in February, when Random House and Crown were made into separate groups as part of the reorganization of Penguin Random House.
Theresa Zoro has been promoted to president of Harmony Books and Rodale, reporting to Dillon. Zoro was previously executive v-p and executive creative director for integrated marketing and PR for RHPG.
Diana Baroni has been promoted to senior v-p, editor-in-chief, and publisher of Harmony and Rodale, reporting to Zoro. Baroni was previously senior v-p and editor-in-chief of Harmony and Rodale and has helped lead both imprints for the past nine years.
Also reporting to Zoro is Gail Gonzales, who has been promoted to v-p and deputy publisher of Harmony and Rodale. Gonzales was previously v-p and director of publishing and strategy at Harmony and Rodale.
With Zoro joining Harmony and Rodale, Susan Corcoran, senior v-p and director of publicity, and Leigh Marchant, senior v-p and director of marketing, will now report to Dillon.
