Baker Publishing Group announced Monday that Michele Misiak, v-p of fiction marketing, will serve as executive v-p for direct to consumer and retail sales when Sue Smith retires June 1.With Misiack's promotion, Raela Schoenherr has been named fiction marketing director for Baker Publishing Group and Brianne Dekker will serve as the new fiction marketing manager for BGP's Revell imprint.
In her new role, Misiak will lead all aspects of BGP's retail operations both online, through the Baker Book House store, and in direct-to-consumer channels. The president and CEO of Baker Publishing Group, Jesse Myers, said Misiack's "extensive experience in retail and specifically bookstore management combined with her years of marketing experience here at Baker make her uniquely qualified for this vital role."
Schoenherr, with experience in acquisitions and in marketing for Bethany House fiction, will take on directing and managing all aspects of marketing and publicity for both the Bethany House and Revell fiction teams. Dekker shifts from assistant marketing manager for Revell fiction to be the lead marketer for all Revell fiction titles.
The promotions were announced on the first day that Myers officially took over as head of Baker Publishing Group from longtime CEO Dwight Baker.
