Perseus Distribution and Diversion Books announced today that they have entered into a sales and distribution agreement for the U.S. and Canada. The agreement goes into effect this month.
Diversion Books, founded by agent Scott Waxman to focus on publishing e-books, will publish its first new print book, Swing Your Sword: Leading the Charge in Football and Life by former college football coach Mike Leach this July, which Perseus will distribute. Perseus will not be distributing e-books for Diversion.
“We hope this is the beginning of a long relationship with Diversion Books and Scott Waxman, who will continue to publish stand-out titles that require a more adaptable approach and additional responsiveness,” said Sabrina McCarthy, v-p of Perseus Distribution. “Together with Diversion’s digital expertise and our track record in the print market, we hope to make this book and future projects a success.”
“Since our main focus is on e-books, we’ve chosen Perseus because of their expertise and flexible distribution model for print books, which allows us to move very quickly and think outside the box,” said Waxman.
