After announcing initial plans last October, Simon & Schuster has unveiled the name and logo for its new imprint dedicated to science fiction, fantasy and horror.
The newly dubbed Saga Press will be headed up by Justin Chanda as publisher, working with executive editor Joe Monti and editor Navah Wolfe. Though housed in S&S's children's division, Saga Press will publish a predominantly adult list.
The first titles, to be published in spring 2015, include A Tempest of Gold by Ken Liu, Persona by Genevieve Valentine, The Dark Side of War by Zachary Brown, and City of Savages by Lee Kelly. The list will also feature newly repackaged mass market editions of the Harper Hall Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey, and the Monstrumologist Quartet by Rick Yancey.
In addition to releasing print titles, Saga, which is separate from newly announced sci-fi imprint Simon451, will publish in a variety of digital formats, including e-only and serial publishing.
