Italian publisher The Mondadori Group announced that it will be unifying its children's imprints, Arnoldo Mondadori Editore and Piemme, including the Battello a Vapore and Geronimo Stilton imprints, to form a new children's publishing division. The newly formed Mondadori Children's Group will be headed by Lorenzo Garavaldi as managing director.
In addition, Enrico Racca will be editorial director of both of Mondadori Ragazzi and Battello a Vapore, with Alice Fornasetti reporting to him as editor in chief of Battello a Vapore.
Patrizia Puricelli will maintain her role as editor in chief of the Geronimo Stilton imprint. Laura Casonato will be the rights director for the new division with Sandra Barbui maintaining her role as foreign rights manager for Mondadori Ragazzi.
