After having surpassed its initial goal of donating 25,000 books to Save the Children as part of its #GiveaBook social media campaign, Penguin Random House is now pledging to donate up to 10,000 more books for additional posts and tweets containing the #GiveaBook hashtag through December 24.
The campaign, launched on Small Business Saturday on November 29, is designed to promote books as gifts this holiday season and to give back to children in need across the country. As part of its original pledge, each time the hashtag #GiveaBook was used on Facebook and Twitter before December 25, PRH will donate a book.
In addition to becoming a friend on Facebook, people can follow the campaign on Twitter via @giveabooknow and on Pinterest.
