F+W Content + eCommerce has tapped Tom Beusse to be its new CEO, succeeding David Nussbaum, who left the company in late 2015 after eight years.

From 2011 to 2013 Beusse was president of the USA Today Sports Media Group. Prior to that he was president and CEO of Westwood One, a syndication company focused on network and radio. Beusse also spent five years as president of the magazine group at Rodale, and was president of Time4 Media, a former subsidiary of Time Warner

Beusse takes over F+W after the company has been transitioned from being a traditional book and magazine publisher to a digital content and retailing platform. Under Nussbaum, F+W began to sell direct to consumers helping e-commerce sales to grow to more than $60 million at F+W. Nussbaum left the company to join America’s Test Kitchen.

Terry O’Toole, co-managing member of Tinicum, L.P., F+W’s majority stakeholder, praised Beusse for his experience working with consumer brands. "Tom brings the experience, energy, and vision to drive the company's future,” O'Toole said.

Beusse cited the “deep relationship" F+W brands have with their customers as something he is excited about and is looking to further exploit. “The experience I have gained from previous roles, particularly at Rodale and Time4 Media, provides me with an excellent understanding of the roles these brands play in the lives of the enthusiasts they serve.”
