MIRA Books, the fiction imprint of Harlequin Books, has announced the launch of a new literary fiction line, Park Row Books. Inaugural titles are slated to publish in summer 2017. Harlequin's goal is to build am imprint which will publish 25 to 30 titles annually.

The new line, to be led by v-p of general fiction editorial Margaret Marbury and executive editor Erika Imranyi, will launch with Benjamin Ludwig's The Improbable Flight of Ginny Moon, acquired in a preemptive deal, and will publish works by authors including Mary Kubica, Heather Gudenkauf, Elizabeth Heathcote, and Phaedra Patrick. MIRA editor Liz Stein has been brought on as editor.

Loriana Sacilotto, executive v-p, global publishing and strategy at Harlequin, said the launch of Park Row is part of Harlequin's plan to "aggressively grow" imprints that publish hardcover and trade paper originals.

"MIRA Books has a long history as an industry leader when it comes to publishing commercial fiction," Imranyi said in a statement. "It is a great privilege to be spearheading the expansion of MIRA's powerful list with the launch of Park Row Books.
