Doubleday has released the North American jacket and book trailer for Origin, the next installment in Dan Brown's series of thrillers featuring Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon. Prior entries in the series include Inferno, Angels & Demons, and The Da Vinci Code,
The novel will take place in Spain, primarily in the four cities of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Bilbao—the home of the Guggenheim Museum. Origin, the publisher said, "thrusts Langdon into the intersection of two of humankind’s most enduring questions: Where do we come from? Where are we going?"
As announced last year, Origin will publish in the U.S. and Canada on October 3, 2017, as a hardcover from Doubleday. It will also be available as an e-book and audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio. Transworld Publishers will publish the novel simultaneously in the U.K., and Vintage Espanol will publish a U.S. Spanish language edition. Jason Kaufman, v-p and executive editor at Doubleday, is editing the novel.
According to the publisher, more than 200 million copies of Dan Brown’s books are in print worldwide, and his novels have been translated into 56 languages.
