PW will publish a special supplement about the Texas Book Festival, set for November 4-5 in Austin. The issue will feature all the information needed to navigate the show, including interviews with the authors slated to appear, details about the programming and the times for panels and other events.
The supplement will be published in the October 16 issue of PW and distributed, free of charge, at the show, to the expected 50,000 attendees.
“PW's Texas Book Festival Spotlight will be a real help to festival-goers in deciding how to spend their time and which events to attend,” said Julie Wernersbach, the festival's literary director. “The quality of the Spotlight offers a great opportunity for readers to discover authors and for authors to gain exposure.”
The Texas festival, which will host 300 authors this year, is the second consumer book fair PW has partnered with to create a special issue. Last year, PW published a supplement for the Miami Book Fair and will do so again for the 2017 show, which is scheduled for November 12-19.
"The ‘Miami Book Fair Spotlight’ was a huge success last year and was enthusiastically received by the show attendees. Due to its success, we have renewed our partnership with the Miami Book Fair for the next five years,” said Joe Murray, associate publisher of PW.
This year's the Miami Spotlight will be published in the October 23 issue of PW and distributed for free during the festival, which is expecting 100,000 attendees and 600 authors.
