Princeton Architectural Press has reached an agreement with Italian lifestyle brand Moleskine to become the licensed publisher and distributor of its book like, Moleskine Books, effective this past January. Under the terms of the agreement, PAP will handle all editing, production, design, distribution, and sales responsibilities for Moleskine Books titles.
The first titles to be published under the new partnership will be Paul Rudolph: Inspiration and Process in Architecture and Paul Rand: Inspiration and Process in Design, both to be published in October.
Founded in 1981, Princeton Architectural Press specializes in titles on architecture, design, photography, landscape, and visual culture. In recent years, the house has expanded the range of its list, adding a children’s book line and stationery products. PAP keeps offices in Hudson, New York.
Founded in 1997, Moleskine specializes in reviving the little black notebook often used by artists and writers. Moleskine offers a variety of paper products including smart notebooks, apps, writing tools, and travel accessories.
Princeton Architectural Press publisher Kevin Lippert described Moleskine as “the best known maker of journals for artists, architects, designer, and writers.” He added: “we will build the Moleskine Books series on the foundation they’ve laid, with books on inspiration, process, and projects from among talented creatives.”
