Hanover Square Press will relaunch the Net Force series, created by Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik, this fall. Net Force: Dark Web by Jerome Preisler, who writes the Tom Clancy's Power Plays series, will be the first title in the renewed series, and will be released on October 22.

Peter Joseph, the editorial director at the press, acquired world rights to Dark Web as well as three more novels and four e-novellas in the series, from Doug Grad at Doug Grad Literary Agency and Netco Partners. Hanover Square plans to release one novel and one e-novella per year, with the first e-novella slated for April 2020 publication.

“Cyberwarfare has gained an even greater relevance in international affairs since the days of the original Net Force books,” Joseph said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring this cutting-edge thriller series into the modern era.”

The Net Force series debuted in 1999, going on to create 10 bestselling adult novels, 18 young adult novels, and a TV movie on ABC. Lifetime sales for the adult novels total 5.5 million copies to date, Hanover Square said.
