Entangled Publishing has launched a new adult commercial fiction imprint. Red Tower Books. According to the publisher, the new imprint will champion "feminist and empowered perspectives" in romantic fantasy and science fiction.
The aim is for the imprint to "offer explosive, cinematic new stories" and develop an audience around the works of authors in the same vein as romantic authors Leigh Bardugo, Tracy Deonn, and Sarah J. Maas.
“Red Tower Books is dedicated to delivering standout fantasy and sci-fi romance from some of the most talented writers of today,” Red Tower editorial director Molly Majumder said in a statement about the new imprint. “I’m excited to combine my love and knowledge of the genre with Entangled’s creative marketing strategies to bring these incredible stories to a wide audience of readers.”
CEO and publisher Liz Pelletier will oversee the new imprint along with Majumdar, v-p of operations Stacy Cantor Abrams, and v-p of marketing Meredith Johnson. Entangled is a 100% women-owned publishing company.
Seven titles are currently slated for release under the imprint next year. The first release, an epic fantasy novel called Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros will be released May 2 next year, with a first print run of 350,000. Subsequent titles will be released in July 2023, including Starbringer from New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff and Nina Croft, The Wren in the Holly Library by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde, Bloodguard by international award-winning author Cecy Robson, and The Last One by New York Times bestselling author Rachel Howzell Hall.
Red Tower Books will be distributed globally by Macmillan.
