Orbit, a division of Hachette Book Group, has launched a new imprint, Orbit Works. According to a release, the imprint will share Orbit's signature science fiction and fantasy focus, but publish exclusively in digital formats. The imprint will be led by Orbit team executive editor Brit Hvide and editor Stephanie Clark.
“We are thrilled to be launching a new imprint that harnesses our team’s expertise in publishing science fiction and fantasy, the exciting opportunities presented by high-quality digital publishing, and our commitment to author partnership," said Orbit senior v-p and publisher Tim Holman, in a statement. "Orbit Works will complement our two existing imprints perfectly, and we can’t wait to welcome our first authors to the team!”
Orbit Works authors will be published globally in e-book and digital audiobook formats. The imprints audiobooks will be produced by Hachette Audio division. Submissions are now being accepted from agented and unagented writers.
