For two decades, Insight Editions has been at the forefront of publishing high-interest books and collectibles that connect with and ignite readers’ passions. Now, Insight Editions is moving onto the next chapter, with a fresh look and a renewed mission to deliver extraordinary content across multiple categories and formats.

Raoul Goff, CEO and publisher of Insight Editions, spoke to PW about how the company is carrying its legacy forward, while pursuing meaningful collaborations with new and established brands in the entertainment space and beyond.

Insight Editions has a such a storied publishing history. What inspired you to create a new look for the company and what are your goals for the future?

Insight Editions has experienced incredible growth in the past several yeas. After more than two decades of publishing we have evolved—which has prompted us to look at our branding and logo and better explain who we are and what we do. We're looking forward with a sense of excitement and optimism.

Our goals are ambitious. We want to continue to push the envelope of what’s possible with content, design, and production,

How are you carrying forward your core values as Insight Editions continues to grow and evolve?

Our new tagline, “Crafting the Extraordinary” doesn’t only apply to the books we publish. Our goal is for everyone who interacts with Insight Editions—authors, readers, retailers, licensing partners, and our incredible team—to have an exceptional experience at every level.

What qualities are you looking for in new projects you publish?

The through-line for our diverse publishing is to connect people with their passions. I’m looking for projects that have a unique point of view for an established community, like Star Wars: Everyday, a fantastic book of cozy and creative crafts, recipes, and lifestyle tips for Star Wars enthusiasts, created by fan-favorite Ashley Eckstein.

We also are always striving to develop new formats that can be effective across multiple brands. Our pop culture tarot deck and advent calendar programs have been hugely successful with titles like Disney Villains, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Supernatural.

What can you share about your recent partnership with the film production group New Regency? How do partnerships like this enrich the Insight Editions brand?

Our strength lies in our strong partnerships in the licensing and entertainment communities. We are passionate about celebrating and showcasing the incredible talent that goes into making film and TV entertainment. Our partnership with New Regency offers another opportunity to deepen the relationship between fans and their favorite films. We’re proud and honored to have earned the trust of New Regency and filmmakers like David Fincher, Michael Mann, Alejandro Innaritu, and others to celebrate new and classic films.

Can you share a few upcoming titles you want readers to know about?

Insight Editions has the bestselling pop-culture cookbook program in the world. We’re especially excited about the upcoming Yellowstone: The Official Dutton Ranch Family Cookbook, authored by the one and only Gator! Gator is the real-life, on-set chef who became an on-screen favorite. Fans can also recreate the experience of holidays at Hogwarts at home with Harry Potter: The Official Christmas Cookbook, the first official, all-ages holiday cookbook from the beloved brand.

We’re also the home of Reinhart Pop-Up Studio, partnering with Matthew Reinhart, the New York Times-bestselling paper engineer and author, on his first imprint. Our upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book, Garbage Pail Kids: The Ultimate Pop-Up Yearbook, and Minecraft: The Official Pop-Up are some of his best work yet. These very different and highly passionate fan communities are so excited to see what he’s done!

This fall, our new division, Insight Workshop, will release their first deluxe advent calendars and gift sets. They are creative wizards of design and production. The Star Trek and Beatles Collector’s Advent Calendars are full of exclusive collectibles. The team has also created unique cookbook stands, rolling pins, aprons, and other immersive companions to our Alice in Wonderland, Hocus Pocus, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas official cookbooks.
