Nashville-based independent publisher Forefront Books has partnered with Donald Miller, the bestselling author and CEO of StoryBrand and Business Made Simple on a new imprint, StoryBrand Books.
The imprint will publish five to 10 books a year. First titles are due out next summer and will focus on books to help small businesses improve their marketing. Miller's StoryBrand helps companies and individuals market their brand and operates an online learning platform and a coaching certification program. His books include Building a StoryBrand, Marketing Made Simple and How to Grow Your Small Business.
“Jonathan Merkh has built a publishing model that is groundbreaking. I am eager to bring more authors, and more great books, into the world through our partnership,” said Miller.
Forefront Books, a hybrid publisher, was one of PW fast-growing independent publishers in 2022, with the publisher beginning to pick up traction in 2020 and seeing solid gains in both 2021 and 2022, leading to a sales increase of 216% in the three-year period.
"I am honored to once again work with Donald Miller," said Forefront publisher Jonathan Merkh. "We collaborated on his first book, Blue Like Jazz, 20 years ago. We are looking forward to a fruitful partnership.”
The partnership with Miller comes about a month after Merkh named former Penguin Random House executive editor Becky Nesbitt as associate publisher and head of her own imprint.
