Christian self-publisher Believers Press has agreed to acquire Glass Road Media, a publishing and PR firm that will add to its platform of services for authors.
Believers Press will acquire Glass Road's publishing and PR divisions July 1. Glass Road was founded in 2005 by former Thomas Nelson publicist Rebecca Seitz to promote story-driven media projects. It added publishing and agency divisions in 2010. Seitz remains as president of a new Glass Road division of the press. Glass Road's agency function transfers to SON: Spirit of Naples, a nonprofit.
Dave Sheets, Believers Press president, said the company was acquiring an established publicity firm to better serve authors. "Our authors asked for strong PR and we’re excited that now we can deliver it," Sheets said in a statement. Believers Press is part of 1Source, a collaborative effort that includes the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild, SuzyQ Author Coaching, Bethany Press, and Anchor Distributors.
