The Christian Small Publishers Association has opened voting for its CSP Book of the Year Award, which recognizes books from publishers with annual revenues under $400,000. Books are judged for “outstanding contribution to Christian life” by retailers who sell Christian books as well as by readers; see nomination guidelines and eligibility. Voting is open through March 31, 2015; winners will be announced on April 22, 2015.

Barbour Publishing author Ronie Kendig’s Hawk, book two in the Quiet Professionals series, has been selected as one of FamilyFiction’s Top 10 Novels of 2014. FamilyFiction.com covers Christian fiction with a bi-weekly newsletter and a monthly digital magazine. In other news at Barbour, several titles made the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s monthly bestsellers lists in 2014, in the fiction, titles under $5, and Bibles under $10 categories. ECPA’s bestsellers lists are based on Nielsen BookScan data and include the bestselling Christian books nationwide.
