Joseph "Scott" Harvey, v-p of custom product development at HarperCollins Christian Publishing, died on June 3, after a five-month-long battle with cancer. He was 52.
Harvey began his publishing career in 2000 as national accounts manager at Thomas Nelson. In 2007 he helped launch the custom product development program—one of the most robust areas of HCCP, in terms of sales.
Tom Knight, v-p of sales for HCCP, remembered Harvey's "larger-than-life personality" and his mind for business. "He had the ability to make a vision come to fruition, and an infectious personality that proved to make him a great leader," Knight said in a press release.
Harvey leaves behind a wife and two adult children.
