Zondervan Signs New Rebekah Lyons
Carolyn McCready at Zondervan took world rights from Chris Ferebee of the Chris Ferebee Agency to a new, untitled book with curriculum by Rebekah Lyons (You Are Free). Slated for simultaneous publication in October 2019, the trade book and curriculum address mental health issues such as anxiety and depression by introducing “soul-practices” and tools that have personally helped the author, according to the publisher.
Whitaker Reups with a Romance Veteran
Whitaker House president Robert E. Whitaker Jr. took world rights to the publisher’s 20th book with Sharlene MacLaren—Her Rebel Heart. The book is the first of three in a new historical romance series, Hearts of Honor, set during the Civil War, and it’s slated to be published in fall 2019.
Self Care for Sounds True
In a world English rights deal, Jennifer Y. Brown at Sounds True acquired Thriving as an Empath, One Day at a Time: 365 Days of Self-Care by Dr. Judith Orloff, as well as its complement, The Empath's Empowerment Journal. Both titles, which “offer daily support to the highly sensitive,” according to the publisher, are scheduled for publication in fall 2019. Richard Pine at Inkwell Management represented the author.
